KALEIDOSCOPE
Kaleidoscope brings together a rich and diverse community of 10 people who all love to dance. The age of the dancers ranges from a 3-month-old baby to a 75-year-old woman. The human body and spirit is represented in all of its differences and its coherent unity. Kaleidoscope supports the uniqueness of every dancer as an individual and as a member of the group where anything and everything is possible.
Kaleidoscope takes the audience on a journey like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. This dance theatre piece offers a panorama of images and alternative ways of seeing and being moved, through bodies and shapes images colliding merging separating stories dreaming real or reality?
It is our hope that the journey of our bodies speaks to you and perhaps even communicates something beyond words where the mysteries dwell…
The word Kaleidoscope comes from the Greek words kalos, beautiful
eidos, form and scope to see.
Kaleidoscope will be premiered in Autumn 2009. We will be presenting some excerpts in the Crossover festival.
